RBS Breakfast Club held an amazing meeting this morning where we got to chat about all sorts of fun and interesting things related to our businesses. One topic that came up was the use of ChatGPT for generating social media and blog post ideas. It can be useful, but the content generated by the model still needs to be edited for accuracy and consistency and to ensure it will help a website’s search rankings.
The technology used to create the content can also be used by Google to detect content generated by AI and they’ve made it clear that it’s not something they’ll be putting on their first page.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the “Ask Me Anything” session with Robyn Patterson of Celebrant in Style. She shared some of her experiences as a Marriage Celebrant, including the worst “Bridezilla” she’s ever encountered (which sounded pretty wild and demanding) and she also gave us some insight into the difference between “arranged” and “forced” marriages and how common and successful arranged marriages actually are in Australia. It was really interesting to learn about all the different aspects of her job and the questions she gets asked the most by her clients.
We also got to hear from Amanda from Westcoast Swimwear, who shared how their product range really supports women who’ve had breast surgery. It was so inspiring to hear how they are making a difference in the lives of so many women.
Sharyn from Sharyn McCaskey Social Media also shared her thoughts on how easy it is to share your “digital business card” directly from your phone to the phone of people you meet, which is such a handy tip for networking.
Another great thing that came out of the meeting was the decision to create a closed Facebook group, where we can all keep in touch and ask questions between our fortnightly meetings. It’s always so helpful to have a community of like-minded people to turn to for support and advice.
The meeting was held at Dome Cafe Waikiki, which was the second time we’d met there. The food and service were both absolutely fantastic and everyone left feeling happy and well-fed. The venue is really spacious and has a great atmosphere.
Overall, it was an awesome meeting and I’m already looking forward to the next one! Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a great experience.
If you’re interested in joining the RBS Breakfast Club, feel free to reach out and I’d be happy to give you more information about what we do and when we meet.
