As we closed out the financial year, the RBS Breakfast Club gathered once more at our favourite location, Dome Cafe in Waikiki, on June 27th. The meeting was buzzing with energy, as we had a fantastic turnout of dedicated professionals ready to wrap up the financial year and set their sights on the future.
As always, the Dome Cafe team served up a delicious breakfast, ensuring we all started our day on a high note. Their dedication to providing a great experience never wavers, and we’re grateful for their continued support.
We were excited to hear from members who attended the recent City of Rockingham/Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce Jobs fair. The consensus was that the event was well-attended and provided an excellent platform for networking and potentially finding new staff. We were thrilled to see our members engaging with the wider business community and taking full advantage of these opportunities.
As the financial year drew to a close, we took the opportunity to remind everyone that membership renewals will be sent out in early July. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with all members committed to continuing with the RBS Breakfast Club. This commitment is a testament to the value our members see in RBS, highlighting the support, referrals, and camaraderie that make our club so beneficial.
The main focus of the meeting, however, was on goal setting. We revisited the concept of SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) goals and explored how they can drive success in both our personal lives and our businesses. Each member shared a goal that they aim to achieve, with the group providing a support system to hold each other accountable.
These goals encompassed a wide range of areas, including personal health improvements, making more time for family, launching new marketing initiatives, overseeing big projects, and enhancing organisational policies and procedures. While we won’t be sharing the specifics of these goals publicly, we’re excited to support each other in these endeavours and look forward to celebrating our achievements together.
As we move into the new financial year, it’s not just about setting our sights on growth and success. It’s also about supporting each other through the trials and tribulations of running our businesses. We’re more than just a group of business professionals; we’re a community that shares stories, advice, and experiences to foster growth, both individually and collectively.
Each goal we set and every success we achieve is a testament to the camaraderie, support, and learning opportunities that being part of the RBS Breakfast Club provides. We’re not just setting random targets; we’re crafting strategic roadmaps for our businesses, and helping each other navigate the way.
So, let’s step into this new financial year with determination and resilience. Let’s continue to set those SMART goals, and remember, a goal without a plan is just a wish. Together, we’re ready to tackle the challenges ahead, achieve our goals, and celebrate our wins. Because every achievement, no matter how small, is a step closer to success.
If you’re a local business owner or manager, and you’re keen to experience the camaraderie, support, and learning opportunities that come with being part of the RBS Breakfast Club, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out to us to find out more about how you can become part of our community.
Stay tuned for our next meeting recap. Until then, keep setting those SMART goals and let’s make this new financial year our best one yet.
Until next time,

PS. We were so absorbed by the conversation and focused on sharing our goals, we forgot to take a group photo.
