While some of our regulars were unable to attend due to various commitments, those of us who gathered had the opportunity to not only share a cuppa and breakfast but to also engage in lively discussions, share experiences, and learn from one another.
Group Discussion: Setting Business Goals
The core discussion of our meeting focused on the power of goal setting, a cornerstone for business success. We explored the concept of SMART goals – goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound – and the crucial role they play in driving business progress.
Success Stories: Insights from the Club Members
Echoing this theme, Sara from Signing Australia, a trusted and reliable Perth signage company with over 25 years of experience, shared her personal journey with us. Earlier this year, she found herself feeling “stuck in a rut”. But by establishing and pursuing clear SMART goals, she was able to revolutionise her business and reignite her passion. Part of her success strategy involves the “just one thing” principle, which encourages focusing on a single, specific task – a method that we can all incorporate into our businesses.
Her story was a fantastic example of how effective goal setting and strategic focus can lead to remarkable changes in business performance. We hope that it inspires you to take a closer look at your business goals, too.
Featured Presentation: Rockypest
Following our group discussion was an enlightening presentation by Rebecca from RockyPest, a local pest management company that goes above and beyond for their clients. She shared her business’s evolution and how a rebranding decision – a shift from Rockingham Pest Control to RockyPest – led to an expanded customer reach across the entire Perth Metro area. A fantastic demonstration of strategic branding, and a reminder that sometimes, a simple change can yield significant results.
